Standing Christ holding a shovel Black and blood stone on blue paper 13.3 x 10.3 cm Provenance Collection Kekko, Belgium Click here to bid The present drawing is identical to three studies of heads made by the Cavalier d'Arpin: Warrior's Head (Galleria dell'Accademia, Venice, inv. no. 241), Half-Bust of an Old Bearded Man (Kupferstichkabinett, Berlin, inv.no. K.d.Z.402), and Man's Head seen in profile (Kupferstichkabinett, Berlin, inv.no. K.d.Z.16222). Because of the similarity between these drawings and ours, the work must be dated 1635-40.
