Rounded satinwood veneer inset opening with two slatted leaves and a drawer in the waist decorated with a Greek bronze. Two astragals in chased and gilded bronze separate the drawer from the base. Chutes, mascarons on the feet and lamp bases in chased and gilded bronze. Stamped by Antoine Héricourt. Louis XVI period. Height : 90 cm - Width : 64 cm Depth : 74 cm A pair of similar corner pieces was part of the C. Perrier collection.Perrier, Drouot sale on June 14, 1912, n°70 ANTOINE HÉRICOURT RECEIVED MASTER ON OCTOBER 20, 1773 The list of his clients would be long, but it should nevertheless be recalled that he supplied the Hôtel des Menus in 1785, 1786, 1787 for important sums, as well as the countesses of Gramont and Duras, the prince of Marsan, the duke of Bethune and the farmer general Mazières du Breuil.
