HANGING COUPLE of two figures in Meissen porcelain resting on a rocaille terrace in gilt bronze and chased. The movement signed Jean Lenoir is surmounted by a rooster and framed by two branches of leaves in sheet metal decorated with flowers also in Meissen porcelain. Louis XV period, around 1750. Height : 35 cm - Width : 25 cm (Small accidents) Decorated with animals, characters or Buddha, these clocks are precious objects invented by the merchant merchants of the 18th century. These mounted objects are fashionable, the most famous merchants such as Darnault, Lazare Duvaux make a specialty and sell them to the most important people of that time including the Marchioness of Pompadour. The porcelain of Vincennes then of Sevres, the porcelain of Meissen are employed to decorate these compositions.
