Case on hinge, the whole case is richly decorated, chiseled and pierced with motifs of foliage, flowers and birds, a family coat of arms on the case middle, the back with three characters in the middle of a very rich decoration of various flowers, the stylized bezel with a ring.
Gold and silver dial with Roman numerals for the indication of the hours, a single hand, disc for the setting of the alarm function, chiseled floral decoration in the center.
Mechanical movement with key winding, verge escapement, chased and pierced cock, notched disc with worm screw, bell striking, signature on the plate "François Norry à Gisors".
In all likelihood, the coat of arms on the back of this watch is that of the Roussel family in Artois. We thank
Evrard Van Zuylen, Webhaldic, for his work to identify the family coat of arms on the back of this watch.
