MILLET JEAN-FRANÇOIS (1814-1875).
L.A.S. "J.F. Millet", Wednesday morning, to Charles-Gabriel FORGET; 1 page in-8 (trace of tab). [A student of Eugène Isabey and Théodore Rousseau, the painter Charles-Gabriel FORGET (1807-1873) made his late debut at the 1846 Salon]. "Yesterday when I met you at the Salon, I was already in addition to my migraine very much suffering from blisters on both feet, but I finished myself off today by wanting to return to the Salon. I have reached a state where it is impossible for me to put on my shoes & consequently to go out. I am literally nailed to the spot, & will not be able to move all day. So you will not mind if I postpone until Thursday morning the pleasure of seeing your drawings"...
