1952 Citroën Traction Avant 15-Six
Iconic model Good condition Matching numbers No title Chassis n° 725127 Reputed to be the ‘Queen of the Road’, the 15-Six will first have to prove itself. In the Citroën production of the moment it must represent the top of the range of the Traction Avant. Its birth in June 1938 is discreet, as well as its very sober look according to the wish of Pierre-Jules Boulanger, the Citroën boss who wanted it to look like the 11. The engine is a magnificent 6-cylinder cast iron engine, with a capacity of 2.8 litres, developing 78 bhp. The success of this «super Traction» will be legendary and its career will last until 1955. The 15 CV presented here is a model that was first put into circulation in October 1954. Black in color with a velvet interior, it is presented in its original configuration. In good general condition and sound, it is complete and original. Sold new in Spain, which makes it a real rarity, all its numbers match according to our research with the Conservatoire Citroen. The engine n° 597 needs to be restarted to be able to drive it again, but the mohair velvet upholstery is in excellent condition and without tears.
