MANUSCRIT MUSICAL autograph, Brumaire (Ouverture pour le drame d'Édouard Noël), 1899; title and 33 pages in-fol. tabbed and bound in a red half-maroquin volume with corners (spine slightly rubbed). Complete manuscript of this transcribed overture for piano 4 hands. Édouard NOËL (1850-1926) published in 1899 a Brumaire, Scènes historiques de l'an VIII 1799. This Overture, lively, dramatic, brilliant and colourful, with echoes of the Marseillaise, was given at the Concerts Colonne on March 10, 1901. Written in black ink on 20-line Lard-Esnault paper (Ed. Bellamy successor), the manuscript was used for the engraving. It is marked at the top: "Very lively. Violent", and is dated at the end: "Égreville Samedi 2 sept. 99. 6 h. du matin". There are many scrapings, and a collette of 5 measures on page 27. Page 13 is numbered 12 bis. The title page has the dedication "to my friend P.E. Chevalier" (nephew and associate of Henri Heugel).
