+ Autograph note signed "Nap", [Sainte-Hélène April 1821 ?], to General BERTRAND ; 10 lines in pencil on an infol. page entitled (by Bertrand) "Comptes et Budgets" (watermark J Whatman 1819 Balston & C°). This note to Bertrand probably relates to the accounting documents that Napoleon needed to write his will and specify his legacies. "Bd/Je vous envoyer des pièces qui me sont inutiles et qui se perderaient chez moi. You will find there a letter from Montholon [?] of 1818 which says that the funds for 1819 are done. / I need the budget for the five years that was with these states and that you have taken over.
