Autograph correspondence addressed to Alidor DELZANT 32 letter cards including autograph quatrains and 3 signed letters, envelopes kept and various documents. All mounted on sheets of Dutch paper, bound in one volume in-8, white vellum with overlays, red morocco title piece on the back, ex-libris. These letters and quatrains, most of them signed "Stéphane Mallarmé", the others in the monogram, show the friendship that united the poet to Alidor Delzant, lawyer, literary scholar, bibliophile and collector. He was the director of the Revue idéaliste and the executor of Edmond de Goncourt's will. 2 letters are added: one from Geneviève Mallarmé, the other from Louis Dyer addressed to Madame and Alidor Delzant. "While eternalizing them / Bracquemond ici fait vivre / Alidor Delzant's features / A nous ouvert comme un livre". PROVENANCE Former Daniel Sicklès collection.
