L4 Type Bodywork and upholstery restored Aerodynamic style No registration papers Chassis n° 2069900 Vehicle sold as is, without technical inspection and may require a restart costs Presented at the 1959 Paris Motor Show, the Panhard PL17 replaces the Dyna Z. Simple evolution, its lines have been brought up to date by Louis Bionier. Its name refers to the initials of the founders of the Panhard and Levassor brand and the number 17 is the addition of 5CV + 6 seats + 6 liters per 100 km. Regarding the mechanics, the PL 17 offers a flat twin of 851 cm3 developing 42 hp. Panhard will offer several versions of its PL 17 including a sedan, a convertible, a station wagon and a van. Original car by its engine and its very aerodynamic design at the time, the PL 17 was an honorable success. Its production will run from June 1959 to May 1965 with a total of just over 166,000 copies. The specimen we offer is a L4 type. It has been completely restored, only the engine and gearbox are missing. It was undoubtedly uncoupled from the car during the passage in the bodywork. It remains to find adequate mechanics to complete its restoration.
