Animal geography. Lausanne, André Gonin, 1948 Petit in-folio, 46 ff. n. ch. on wove paper. Emerald morocco, upper plate decorated with animals (rooster, fish and monkey) in relief in shades of red, dark green, blue and tobacco, lower plate decorated with a shell encircled with golden circles, spine with ribs titled in gold, gilt head, tobacco morocco frame linings with four gilt fillets on emerald morocco, tobacco morocco guards, shirt in tobacco morocco with lined flaps and matching case (J. Ogiez; A. Jeanne dor.). Original edition accompanied by a signed autograph consignment, dated July 1948, written in red bold pencil and addressed to Willy Breitling, famous Swiss watchmaker. One of the 10 copies on vellum (marked G) illustrated with 18 original lithographs with unpublished texts by Jean Lurçat, accompanied by a suite of 69 plates of different states on China, signed by the artist and the publisher. At the head of the volume, original gouache signed on Canson paper, mounted on tabs (250 x 213 mm), by Lurçat representing a fish (on the reverse, two fish heads sketched in pencil). Fine copy and binding signed by the Swiss J. Ogiez. (Spine of the binding slightly faded, more important on the spine of the folder; edges of the case partially peeled off and blunt corners).
