TAPUSCRIT signed "Antonin Artaud" with ADDITIONS and autograph corrections, La vieille boîte d'amour Ka-Ka, Paris 27 December 1946; 7 pages in-8 on 4 leaves mounted on tabs, bound in island wood with articulated blades, grey suede lining, top cover titled on the front and back, havana calf spine, wooden case with titled spine (Antonio). Answer to Gilbert Lely on love and sexuality. Gilbert LELY, poet and Sade specialist, had asked Artaud to write a text for a special issue of the magazine Variété devoted to love. This text was collected in OEuvres complètes d'Artaud, Gallimard, vol. XIV, pp. 147-151. This typescript includes many additions and corrections in blue ink]. He has long since lost all knowledge of love. "It is a feeling which I thought I had and understood at the time when I had misconceptions about life, for in truth I have never found love except in myself; attachment (and still), interested friendship, esteem, provisional consideration, external sympathy, but love in the alchemical sense of the term, never...".
