A TOUCH OF WIT AND WHISKY

How about starting the new year with a touch of wit and whisky?

Our department specializing in the sale of collectible wines and spirits invites you to participate in an online auction from January 28th to February 10th, dedicated to rare and vintage spirits.
Highlighted by two prestigious bottles from The Macallan distillery (1 bottle The Macallan 1938 bottled in 1980; and 1 bottle The Macallan Anniversary Malt 25 years old 1964/1989), the auction will also feature a selection of sought-after Cognac, Armagnac, and Rum for their rarity.

1 decanter of Cognac Grande Champagne Louis XIII - Rémy Martin - €1,200

Vintage alcohols are highly sought after by enthusiasts, and our sale can boast of being almost entirely composed of them. Cognac, for example, originates from an ancestral tradition of blending grape eau de vie used in its production, making this spirit a true standard-bearer of French expertise internationally. However, unlike bottles containing a "blend" of several crus and different years, assembled by the cellar master to ensure a constant quality of production and to mix the richness of aromas from a terroir, some Cognac houses bet on commercializing the fruit of a single year's harvest when climatic conditions have been excellent. The thus vintage Cognac offers the taster the specificity of the unique season in which it was born. More demanding for the producer, as it is subject to strict control of their cellars, these spirits offer the consumer the assurance of transparent provenance and the full character of that specific year in the glass. In this way, and thanks to the magic of distillation, it is possible to taste a Cognac from harvests conducted under Napoleonic France, notably with the bottles of Cognac Bisquit from the 1800 and 1811 vintages presented in our sale.

1 bottle of Cognac - 1811 - Grande Fine Champagne - Bisquit-Dubouché & Co - €3,500
1 bottle of Bas Armagnac Domaine de Cavaillon - 1900 - J. Lassis (bottled by Darroze in February 1980) - €900
1 bottle of Whisky The Macallan - 1938 - Single Malt 42 years old (damaged label) - €8,500
1 bottle of Cognac - 1800 - Grande Champagne Napoléon - Bisquit Dubouché & Co - €3,200

Our department organizes 4 specialized sales per year and is at your disposal for any information or estimation of bottles you would like to sell.
