Fine classics & Racing cars
“I love it when cars show the ravages of time. Their bodies bear witness to the passion of those who drove them!”
Gautier Rossignol
Aguttes: The second largest classic car auctionneer in the French Market
Aguttes on Wheels is now one of the leading specialists in continental Europe. With over €18 million in sales in 2024 and continuous growth since its creation in 2013, Aguttes on Wheels boasts the highest sell-through rate in its category in France (82%).
Led by Gautier Rossignol, who brings over 20 years of experience, our six-person team organizes five auctions per year. Three of these are held at regular intervals in Paris—in March, June, and November. In partnership with some of the most prestigious players in the field, Aguttes on Wheels also orchestrates two to three exceptional sales alongside major international events such as Rétromobile, the Tour Auto by Peter Auto, Epoqu’Auto, or in collaboration with museum institutions like Autoworld in Brussels or L’Aventure Peugeot Citroën DS.
Over the years, more than forty collections have passed through the hands of Aguttes on Wheels, setting numerous world records. Backed by a targeted marketing strategy and international communication reaching nearly 45 countries, the department promotes and defends its sellers’ interests by bringing together top collectors from the Middle East, Asia, Europe, as well as the United States and South America.

Automobilia Online auctions
Aguttes on Wheels is constantly evolving, and has been a player in the digital market since 2018. It offers four exclusively online sales dedicated to Automobilia on its Aguttes Online platform.
With a concern for transparency in all our transactions, close customer relationships and attentive after-sales service, our team supports collectors in the pursuit of their passion. Our specialists select cars ranging from pre-war vehicles to outstanding racing cars, not to mention the great GTs of the 1950s and 1970s and the Youngtimers of the 1990s. With 19 new records set in 2022, Aguttes on Wheels works alongside collectors in an ever-changing market.
Private Sales
Our desire to fulfil the expectations of every collector as closely as possible led Aguttes on Wheels to start offering a private sale service in 2018.
These private sales benefit from the remarkable network built up by Aguttes on Wheels with the most influential collectors and players in the market́: historians, brand clubs, manufacturers, tuners and organisers of the world's finest events. All with the sole aim of achieving the best possible sale or private purchase. Since its creation, over 30 private sales have been carried out. These include sales of the March 711-2 driven by Niki Lauda, runner-up in the 1971 World Championship, the Jordan 191#6 driven by Andrea de Cesaris/7UP Jordan Team, and a Ferrari 365 GTB/Daytona Gr. IV that took part in the 1972 12 Hours of Sebring.
While discretion is the watchword, targeted communication and customised promotion maximise visibility to the general public or a carefully selected clientele, depending on the vehicle.
Our response to the needs of highly demanding collectors includes securing the transaction and managing all the administrative and logistical aspects.
A Highly Dynamic Calendar
The department’s schedule is marked by ten auctions annually, combining Classic Cars and Automobilia sales. It stands out thanks to top-tier partnerships, as the automotive specialists at Aguttes have had the honor of orchestrating sales at the prestigious starting line of the Tour Auto by Peter Auto for several years, as well as during the European Heritage Days with L’Aventure Peugeot Citroën DS. Other key events include the Official Sale of the highly anticipated Rallye d’Aumale and the May 1st auction with the renowned Galerie des Damiers. These well-attended events have allowed the department to build strong and lasting relationships with both buyers and sellers.
In early 2021, the Classic Car department achieved the remarkable feat of sourcing and selling—within just a few days—three of the most sought-after Ferraris in a booming market: the F40, 288 GTO, and Daytona Gr. IV.
As the Dakar Classic continues to gain traction, we also had the immense privilege of handling the most legendary car in the history of the Paris-Dakar rally: the iconic Rolls-Royce Jules prototype, entered by Thierry de Montcorgé and Charles Pelletier in 1981. A vehicle we’ll soon see again on the sandy tracks of Saudi Arabia.
With our powerful communication strike force and international clientele, the auction house regularly achieves world records
The promotional programme is based on modern tools and a trusted network built up between the company, collectors and professionals over many years. The company has a unique communication strike force, providing sellers with modern, targeted tools for effective international distribution. We devote particular attention to producing the sales catalogue in terms of both design and content, whether the print or entirely digital version. During our campaigns, we mobilise buyers from our portfolio in all specialities and any potential buyers we pinpoint. We communicate with them using several channels: on- and off-line advertising, social networks, email shots, the media, influencers and bidding platforms, using appropriate, high-quality supports: images, texts and videos.
