True to its pioneer positioning in the market of early 20th century Asian painters Aguttes has once again assembled buyers from Hong Kong, Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh, Singapore and Taiwan, which actively participated in the biddings.
Now a must-see event for amateurs and collectors, this 30th Aguttes sale was the occasion of a new world record for Luong Xuan Nhi, an artist marked by the precepts of his Western teaching. Knitting offers us a sensitive look at everyday life where women occupy a central place. The modest smile of the elegant young woman represented, like that of Leonardo da Vinci's Mona Lisa, and her finely made-up eyes underline her natural beauty. This ink and colors on silk sparked a memorable auction battle which ended with a world record: € 756,440.

“My modest collection brings together, in addition to paintings, a few pieces divided into 3 categories: The Huê blues , the so-called porcelain pieces from Thanh Hóa, the productions of the Bát-Tràng and Chu Dâu ovens of the Trầdynastiesn (1225- 1400) and Lê (1428-1526) and the wood and bronze sculptures.
