La Vente d’Été organised by Aguttes on Wheels was held on 29 June 2025 at the Parc des Expositions, Porte de Versailles, Paris. Under summery skies and in front of an enthusiastic, international audience, the sale once again featured cars from the 1990s and 2000s, with a number of icons from the 1960s and 1970s commanding high prices.
Among the highlights of the Summer Sale were a number of models that brilliantly illustrated the public's enthusiasm for the latest cars. With record prices, what were once Youngtimers are now becoming classics for the most discerning collectors.
This was precisely the case with our sublime 2001 BMW Z8. In its rare Stratus Metallic colour, it sold abroad for €322,260, more than €80,000 above its high estimate, and entered the top 5 of the most expensive Z8s sold in the world. Closely followed by a 2007 Ferrari F430 Spider with mechanical gearbox, which sold for €256,700, Aguttes on Wheels once again came close to its high estimate. Another star was a 2006 Bentley Azure, the brand's former press car, which fetched €108,892, while a 2007 Ferrari F430 sold for €97,020.

In a more difficult market, Aguttes on Wheels came out on top with strong prices for the oldest cars. A 1913 Rochet-Schneider Type 11000 Torpedo, in rare original condition, fetched €43,332, almost double its high estimate, while a 1973 Jaguar E-Type V12 Cabriolet with mechanical gearbox fetched €89,868, alongside a seductively configured 1970 Mercedes-Benz 280 SL “Pagoda” (€83,740). And what about the very elegant 1965 Alfa Romeo Giulia SS which fetched €70,796 and the Jaguar XK140 Roadster at €81,796 belonging to the same collector. All exceeded their high estimates, much to the delight of their respective sellers.

On another note, the sale of three Land Rovers at sustained prices demonstrates the appeal of this new market, as do the restoration projects that continue to attract the interest of collectors. The two Porsche 356s in need of complete restoration have easily exceeded their estimates and are being shipped abroad.

In a distinct aspect, the sale of the 1962 Citroën DS 19 Carbiolet for over €131,000 and the sale of what will undoubtedly remain one of the most beautiful Ferrari 2+2 of all time, the Ferrari 456 GT. This first version, which is still being driven and perfectly maintained, also exceeded its high estimate at over €83,800.

Cultivating its differences and rejecting the practice of ‘no holds barred’, Aguttes on Wheels stands out with sustained prices in an increasingly demanding and restricted market. Attentive to detail and more than ever attentive to its after-sales service, trust, passion and respect are more than ever the driving force behind this department.
This sale is the culmination of months of hard work, and Aguttes on Wheels is more than ever committed to the close working relationship it values in all its dealings and to the utmost transparency in all its transactions.
We'd like to thank all those who took part, and look forward to seeing you in the second half of the year for even more automotive treasures to discover!
