Collector Cars: La Vente d'Automne 2024
Nearly 5 million euros were raised at this year's flagship sale!

After 4 hours of hard-fought sales by the Aguttes on Wheels teams, La Vente d'Automne 2024 left its mark on the world of classic cars in Europe.
With a sell-through rate of 74%, collectors and enthusiasts once again turned out in force, pushing the sale to nearly €5 million.

From the very first bids, in a packed room, collectors did not miss the opportunity to acquire rare pieces, such as the Alpine A108 Cabriolet, which more than doubled its high estimate at €95,780!
This was followed by the €162,532 achieved by the Tatra 87 from 1948, initially estimated at between €85,000 and €125,000, and the €202,000 for the iconic Citroën DS 21 M Cabriolet, which also exceeded its high estimate.

The undisputed star of the sale, the Rolls-Royce Prototype ‘Jules’ from the 1981 Paris-Dakar Rally, fetched €596,420, making headlines once again! This legendary car is writing a new page in its history, with the panache of those who have achieved iconic status...

Alongside it, the Aston Martin DB5 and Aston Martin DB6 fetch €742,600 and €262,600 respectively, high prices given the turbulence that the Aston Martin market has been experiencing in recent years.

In a completely different register, racing cars appeared in large numbers in the catalogue. The oldest Lotus Eleven S1 in the Colin Chapman's Legacy collection changed hands for €167,300, while the Jaguar E-Type Semi-Lightweight, winner of three Tour Auto titles, set a new auction record by achieving the highest bid ever for an E-Type of its type at €345,000.
The €185,000 achieved by the high-performance Chevron B19 further establishes our department's position in the cutting-edge competition car sector.

Modern cars were not to be outdone either, with a Ferrari 550 Maranello fetching over €125,000, the Audi Quattro selling for €57,600 and the Aston Martin Vanquish S for €107,000.

Alongside them, it is worth highlighting the market's attraction for original cars such as the Poncin VP 2000, which again doubled its high estimate to over €26,000, the Ferves Ranger 4x4 at over €36,000 and a Citroën Méhari 4-seater, which nearly tripled its estimate to €24,000.
