or of Ptah, carved from diorite. The head is shaved, the eyes lined with a stroke extending towards the temples, and the eyebrows rendered in slight relief. The ears are clearly defined in relief on either side. Resting on a stele engraved with fragmentary hieroglyphs.
Ancient Egypt, New Kingdom, circa 1500 to 1000 BC.
Height: 7.3 cm – Width: 6.4 cm – Depth: 8.3 cm
. Set on a green porphyry plinth carved to shape with a moulded base.
Total height: 14.5 cm.
