1936 - Talbot Lago T120 Baby ~ ~ Carte grise française ~ Véhicule vendu sans contrôle technique~ ~ French registration title ~ Sold without contrôle technique~ ~ Châssis n°85703~ ~ Un superbe coach 6-cylindresd'avant guerre, concurrent des Delahaye 135 et autres Bugatti 57 contemporaines.~ A superb pre-war 6-cylinder coach, competing with the Delahaye 135 and other contemporary Bugatti 57s.~ ~ -	Créé en 1903 par Adolphe Clément-Bayard et Charles Chetwynd, sous le nom de Clément-Talbot, la société est achetée par Darracq après la première guerre mondiale. Le constructeur devient Talbot seulement en 1922.~ -	En 1935, après la faillite de Sunbeam-Talbot- Darracq, l'ingénieur italien Anthony Lago prend le contrôle de la branche française de la société, tandis que la branche anglaise, rachetée par Rootes, deviendra Sunbeam Talbot, puis Sunbeam. Crise oblige, Talbot doit proposer des modèles plus modestes.~ -	La T120 est un des premiers modèles mis au point sous l'autorité d'Anthony Lago, arrivé à la tête de Talbot en 1934. Elle bénéficie d'un nouveau moteur conçu en collaboration avec l'ingénieur Walter Becchia (à qui l'on devra plus tard le bicylindre de la Citroën 2 CV !), un 6-cylindres 3 l culbuté développant 90 ch, à une époque où les voitures de tourisme plafonnaient à 40 ch, et d'un nouveau châssis plus court et plus léger. Cette voiture répondait donc à la réputation sportive de la marque.~ -	Notre Talbot T120 a bénéficié d'une restauration de qualité il y a une trentaine d'années. Elle fut acquise en 2015 par le propriétaire actuel, qui s'en est très peu servi.~ -	Sa mécanique fiable et sa boîte de vitesses pré-selective Wilson fonctionnait très bien avant son arrêt. Elle nécessitera ne remise en route dans les règles de l'art et une révision des organes mécaniques essentiel avant de reprendre la route.~ ~ - Founded in 1903 by Adolphe Clément-Bayard and Charles Chetwynd under the name Clément-Talbot, the company was bought by Darracq after the First World War. The manufacturer only became Talbot in 1922.~ - In 1935, after the bankruptcy of Sunbeam-Talbot-Darracq, Italian engineer Anthony Lago took control of the French branch of the company, while the English branch, bought by Rootes, became Sunbeam Talbot, then Sunbeam. Due to the economic crisis, Talbot had to offer more modest models.~ - The T120 was one of the first models developed under the authority of Anthony Lago, who took over as head of Talbot in 1934. It featured a new engine designed in collaboration with engineer Walter Becchia (who would later be credited with the twin-cylinder engine in the Citroën 2CV!), a 3-litre 6-cylinder overhead valve engine developing 90 bhp at a time when passenger cars were capped at 40 bhp, and a new shorter and lighter chassis. This car therefore lived up to the brand's sporting reputation.~ - Our Talbot T120 underwent a high-quality restoration some thirty years ago. It was acquired in 2015 by the current owner, who has used it very little.~ - Its reliable mechanics and Wilson pre-selective gearbox were working very well before it was taken off the road. It will need to be restarted in accordance with best practice and have its essential mechanical components serviced before it can be driven again.~ ~ Est. 30 000 - 40 000 ░~ Sans réserve~ ~
