• Launched in 1992 as a replacement for the Renault 25, the Safrane had the daunting task of taking up the mantle as the flagship model for the Renault brand.
• To fulfil its ambition of competing with the German elite in this segment, Renault decided to offer an even more exclusive version of its saloon, launching the Biturbo variant in 1993, equipped with all-wheel drive.
• Under the bonnet lies the trusty PRV V6, fitted with two KKK turbochargers each delivering 0.5 bar of boost. The result is a luxurious saloon offering perfect comfort, glued to the tarmac and powered by a smooth yet powerful engine developing 268 ch. It went on to earn the honorary title of Renault’s most expensive, most powerful and also rarest mainstream model, with just 806 units produced!
• The example we are offering was sold new in July 1994 by the Renault dealership in Hénin-Beaumont (62). Although its service book is not stamped, it is nevertheless accompanied by a handwritten log detailing meticulous maintenance records from July 1995, at 10,100 km, up to 2020, at 119,817 km.
• Its current owner acquired it in 2023 and, amongst other things, had it fully repainted to enhance its incredible original condition. Despite a few minor scratches, we challenge you to find a Biturbo in such good condition and with such low mileage. Fans of this model, don’t let this opportunity pass you by!
