“Rare V6 Turbo, low mileage, full service history and a stunning Fleischmann kit: a first-class GTA!”

Unveiled in 1984, the Alpine known as the GTA (short for Grand Tourisme Alpine) succeeded the A310, with which it shares an obvious family resemblance. It builds on the design of its predecessors, namely a spaceframe chassis onto which a body made of synthetic materials is mounted, as well as a PRV V6 engine available in two versions (naturally aspirated and turbocharged) mounted in a rear overhang.

Designed by Heuliez, the lines of this new Alpine offer exceptional aerodynamics. Alpine intended to launch a full range of the GTA. Starting with the V6 GT, followed by the V6 Turbo the following year, and the Europa Cup, designed for one-make races held as a curtain-raiser to European Formula 1 Grand Prix events.

Despite its various versions, the Alpine GTA failed to find an audience. Sales barely exceeded 6,000 units since its launch.

This particular car was sold new in Germany through the Renault dealership in Heidenheim. In 1990, its owner entrusted the car to Fleischmann, a German tuning firm, which had developed a superb kit, featuring revised suspension and – above all – an incredible, beastly body kit with special BBS wheels (345 at the rear!).

The car was rarely used and was exported to Belgium in the early 2020s, as evidenced by its service book, which is stamped up to 28,000 km. The odometer now reads just under 30,500 km, which appear to be genuine. A few minor cosmetic flaws will need to be addressed for the most discerning buyers.
