A unique colour, ready to hit the road.
The SM still captures the imagination today, across all generations. Only 12,920 units were sold over its five-year production run. Now increasingly sought-after, the SM is enjoying a resurgence in popularity. A perfect blend of modernity, comfort and performance, the SM is a truly distinctive GT – prestigious and elegant.
The SM featured in these pages was first registered in 1973 and is therefore part of the series of models with electronic fuel injection. It comes with air conditioning and a black leather interior as standard. The car originally rolled off the production line in metallic grey.
It was restored a few years ago, and during its general refurbishment, repainted in a unique colour: Devon Green, code ESW. This is a Citroën colour, but at the time it was used on certain commercial vehicles in the range.
The collector-owner purchased it from a Dutch dealer in 2019 and has been using this beautiful SM for leisurely drives. A great deal of maintenance work has been carried out over the years and through regular use. The radiator was replaced with an aluminium model, the tyres and air conditioning were upgraded, and very recently a general service was carried out by an SM specialist, Nicolas Gallet.
During our test drive, we were won over by this car with its unique colour scheme, which suits it so well. The mechanics are in very good condition and this grand tourer is just waiting to hit the road for a journey.
