Launched in 1960 by the British Motor Corporation, the Morris Mini Traveller was the estate version of the famous Mini designed by Alec Issigonis. With its extended roof, spacious load compartment and rear-hinged doors, it offered unprecedented versatility in a compact package. Its signature feature is its varnished ash wood trim, inspired by traditional British estate cars, which earned it the nickname ‘wooden estate’.
Marketed alongside the Austin Countryman, its technical twin, it proved a great success with families and tradespeople. Produced until 1969, it is now one of the most iconic and sought-after versions of the classic Mini.
Our example was purchased at the end of 2021 by the current owner from My Mini Revolution. The purchase invoice indicates that the interior had been completely refurbished and that part of the paintwork had been touched up.
Today, the car is in perfect condition and running perfectly! Its 4-cylinder engine is very pleasant and well-tuned, equally at home in Parisian traffic as it is on the open road!
Now offered at a very attractive estimate, this Mini—having undergone extensive work by one of the most renowned workshops for this model—is among the most interesting on the market!
