The car we are offering for sale perfectly embodies Triumph’s sporting tradition and the spirit of major historic racing events. It is an FIA-spec TR4 prepared for racing and maintained throughout its career by some of France’s leading specialists in the field.

After an initial stint in historic racing, it joined the ranks of the well-known Eleven Cars team, which successfully entered it in several events organised by Peter Auto, notably the Sixties’ Endurance.

After several seasons competing at the highest level, including appearances at the Tour Auto, Le Mans Classic and various renowned European events, it entered the collection of its current owner. The owner entered it four times in the Tour Auto (2019, 2020, 2021 and 2023) in the highly competitive VHC GTS11 (Pre-66) category.

Regularly ranked among the best in Plateau 3, this TR4 has built a solid reputation thanks to the balance of its chassis, the reliability of its preparation and the generous torque of its engine.

To keep the car at the highest level of competitiveness, its owner entrusts its maintenance to Garage de la Choletterie, a recognised specialist in historic cars. In 2022, the engine underwent a complete rebuild incorporating an Arrow crankshaft, forged connecting rods and competition pistons. Bench testing carried out following this work revealed a remarkable power output of 184.4 bhp at 6,165 rpm, a particularly impressive figure for an FIA-spec TR4.

The car was then taken to WG Racing in Toulouse, which carried out a complete overhaul of the gearbox in 2025. Numerous modifications were also carried out on the running gear, the shock absorbers, the braking system and the electrical system, the latter having been completely redesigned to improve the car’s overall reliability during long endurance events. All of this work is fully documented.

Presented with a substantial file of invoices totalling over €74,000 for work and maintenance, this TR4 FIA has been meticulously maintained. Its Historic Technical Passport is valid until 2031, guaranteeing it entry to the most prestigious European historic competitions. Rare on the market, high-performing, reliable and ready to race, it now represents a first-rate opportunity for any enthusiast wishing to compete in the biggest historic events in a car that is both competitive and perfectly prepared.
