‘Competition-standard restoration with no expense spared’ 

As the successor to the Alfa Romeo 1900, the 2000 features an elegant Touring body and a level of comfort far superior to that of the Giulietta and Giulia Spiders. Less sporty than its sisters, it is a more prestigious, more comfortable and more luxurious car, and is now one of the brand’s rarest convertibles.

Whilst it largely retains the mechanical layout of the 1900 – with independent front suspension, a rigid rear axle, a 5-speed gearbox and drum brakes on all four wheels – its design is more modern and in keeping with the times!

As indicated by its manufacturer’s plate, our example is one of the few delivered new in France! It was purchased in 2002 by Mr V., who in 2016 decided to treat it to a completely comprehensive restoration that would take over two years.

The prestigious Provost Automobiles workshop, based in the Le Mans region, undertook this monumental task. Nothing was left to chance: the bodywork and underbody were stripped, primed and repainted; the upholstery was completely replaced; and, of course, the mechanical components were fully restored… The invoice file, totalling nearly €250,000, is available on request.

This is undoubtedly the finest 2000 Spider on the road. The quality of the work carried out has ensured it is in absolutely perfect condition, and a further comprehensive service was carried out in 2025!
