« In the same family since 1939, exemplary restoration»

In 1934, a certain Henri Pigozzi, a Franco-Italian industrialist, founded the Société Industrielle de Mécanique et Carrosserie Automobile (SIMCA). To launch his business, he simultaneously secured a licence to manufacture the Fiat 500 Topolino in France.

Production ran from 1936 to 1949, with three main versions: saloon, convertible and estate. In total, nearly 46,000 units were produced, thereby making motoring more accessible in France.

Our example arrived in 1939 at the B. family home in Savoie. As indicated by its chassis plate and badges, this Simca 5 is indeed a French model. Retrieved from the family barn in 2015 by the owner’s grandson, it subsequently underwent an exemplary full restoration, documented in a blog available on request.

Today, the car is in simply stunning condition: the bodywork is beautiful, its colour is very elegant (shifting between navy blue and olive green depending on the light), and the upholstery is of a very high standard, as is the soft top. Having been off the road for a year, it simply needs a routine service before it can be driven with confidence.

This example is in absolutely stunning condition, reflecting the care and attention its current owner has given it!
