Lanch is a Spanish brand produced by Ziraco, whose production spanned a very narrow window in the 1950s, with just a few models, in 74 and 98 cc, over a handful of years. A small-scale, artisanal production, typical of the dozens of small regional manufacturers that flourished in 1950s Spain, driven by the need for mobility in a country undergoing reconstruction and by the mechanical passion of a few determined men.

Its 74cc engine placed it in a displacement category then popular in Spain – powerful enough for secondary roads, and legally accessible to a clientele who did not always have the licence or the means for a proper motorcycle. An honest and pragmatic offering, built with whatever resources were available but with the dedication of those who put their name on their machines.

The 1957 Lanch 74cc is one of the most obscure models in the history of Spanish motorcycling and, precisely for this reason, one of the most prized by the discerning collector.
