A large strip of polychrome tubular glass beads embroidered onto a textile backing. From top to bottom, the long strip depicts the capital at the summit, a plumb line, a protractor, equinoctial rings within a graduated orb, a chromatic fan, a cartouche depicting an allegory of Geometry at her drawing board, two planispheres (world maps), a map of Venice entitled “Pianta di Venezia”, a Lion of St Mark in the lower section, and the base of the column.
