Made of wrought iron, the movable hammer is shaped like a figure carrying a coat-of-arms shield (now faded); it is clad in a pleated robe and stands on a stepped lamp base. The base plate is decorated with pierced designs featuring wheat-ear motifs and ornate uprights.
