A KNIFE WITH THEOLOGICAL PROPERTIES

The boxwood handle is carved with allegorical figures of Faith, Hope and Charity set within niches. At the top is a lion. On the lower section is the inscription “ANNO 1889”.
The blade is marked F. HERDER ABR. SOHN. 
Netherlands and Germany, late 19th century.
