carved wood, painted in polychrome. She stands with her legs together, her arms pressed against her sides, her hands open at her sides; her skin is painted brick red, and she wears a kalasiris skirt falling to just above her ankles. Her bare chest is adorned with a stylised central parting in three parallel lines. Ancient Egypt, late First Intermediate Period, 11th Dynasty, circa 2160–2000 BC.
