


The silver mount has a rectangular base openworked with palmette motifs, and the openworked bowls are decorated with putti playing the lyre whilst riding leopards.
The central shaft is chiselled with a pair of swans nestled together, from which garlands of intertwined roses emerge. The handle is shaped like pomegranates emerging from reeds.
Hallmarks: 2nd cock, 1st fineness mark, Paris, 1809–1819, and silversmith: Jean-Pierre-Nicolas BIBRON.
Followed by later French control marks.
