TEAPOT WITH COAT OF ARMS

In silver with Rococo-style decoration. The handle is adorned with a pair of birds, and the feet and beak feature scrollwork. The sides are decorated with the combined coats of arms of the Laureau and Alviset de Maizières families (who married into each other’s families in 1867), beneath a helmet surmounted by a count’s crown.

Minerve hallmark and silversmith’s mark: François-Alphonse DEBAIN (registered in 1847).
