Il s'agit du Coupé XJS équipé du V12 de 5,3 l et 285 ch. Ce Coupé charmeur privilégie équilibre et confort, secondé par un silence de fonctionnement appréciable au quotidien et sur longs trajets, ainsi qu'un équipement de série généreux.~ -	En 1983, la XJS adopte un nouveau moteur : le 6-cylindres de 3,6 l développant 221 ch qui permet une offre tarifaire plus alléchante destinée à accroître les ventes. En fin de carrière (1991) que la XJS reçoit à l'occasion d'un profond restyling l'excellent moteur AJ6 dans sa version 4,0 l à 24 soupapes. Il offre à cette XJS des performances très proches de la traditionnelle version V12, tout en réduisant significativement la consommation.~ -	La Jaguar XJS Coupé qui illustre ces pages est unique. Elle offre une combinaison des meilleurs équipements et des plus rares options proposées pour le modèle XJS au cours de ses 20 années de production. Il s'agit en effet de la toute dernière série fabriquée sous le contrôle de Ford, avec une qualité nettement améliorée. Elle bénéficie du moteur AJ16 4,0 l de 232 ch et┤ d'une boîte de vitesses manuelle disponible uniquement sur demande spéciale. Seulement 8 coupés avec conduite à gauche seront construits de la sorte┤~ -	Il s'agit par ailleurs d'une version Celebration avec jantes Diamant, intérieur haut de gamme et chargeur de CD, avec une superbe combinaison de couleurs Spruce Green Metallic et intérieur cuir Warm Charcoal.~ -	Cette auto, à l'historique complet et documenté, n'a connu que 4 propriétaires, et ne totalise qu'un peu plus de 100 000 km. This was the XJS Coupé, equipped with a 5.3-litre V12 engine producing 285 hp. This charming coupé prioritised balance and comfort, complemented by a quiet ride that was appreciated on a daily basis and on long journeys, as well as generous standard equipment.~ -	In 1983, the XJS adopted a new engine: a 3.6-litre 6-cylinder developing 221 hp, which made it more attractive in terms of price and boosted sales. At the end of its career (1991), the XJS underwent a major restyling and was fitted with the excellent 4.0-litre 24-valve AJ6 engine. This gave the XJS performance very close to that of the traditional V12 version, while significantly reducing fuel consumption.~ -	The Jaguar XJS Coupé featured on these pages is unique. It offers a combination of the best equipment and rarest options available for the XJS model during its 20 years of production. It is in fact the very last series manufactured under Ford's control, with significantly improved quality. It features the 232 hp 4.0-litre AJ16 engine and... a manual gearbox available only on special request.
