“A sumptuous colour combination, recently restored with no expense spared!”
- The BMW 3 Series E30 Convertible made its debut at the 1985 Frankfurt Motor Show and immediately caused a sensation: this marked the Bavarian manufacturer’s first return to the convertible segment since the 1960s with the 1600. Over the course of its seven-year production run, the E30 Cabriolet was available with four different engines: the 318i, 320i, 325i and the M3.
- Our example is powered by the 170 ch 6-cylinder engine from the 325i version, mated to a manual gearbox, and features a number of rare and interesting options, including: BBS wheels, an M-Technic steering wheel, heated front seats, and even a cassette player! Its service history, dating back to 2013, shows that in 2015 the bodywork underwent a complete restoration in its beautiful and rare original Malachitgrün-metallic colour, and the upholstery was refurbished, re-dyed to a slightly darker shade for the occasion (photos on file).
- In 2023, the current owner decided to carry out an almost complete mechanical restoration on this 325i. On the agenda: overhaul of the engine, gearbox, the entire running gear, the braking system and the wiring harness. Over €14,000 was invested to bring his 325i up to his high standards!
- Today, the car is in excellent overall condition: the bodywork is superb (very high-quality paintwork!), the upholstery is free from any notable defects, and the entire mechanical system is in perfect working order! The only fault noted by its current owner is the zip on the rear window of the soft top, which can be a bit temperamental… The car comes with its original owner’s manual, three sets of keys, and its complete original tool kit.
- Manual-gearbox 325i Cabriolets in good condition are becoming increasingly rare on the market, and for good reason… These are cars of rare versatility and elegance, which rarely leave their owners’ garages! A must-buy before prices skyrocket…
