« Very interesting colour combination »

The Citroën ID 19, launched in 1957, was the more affordable version of the DS. It retained the DS’s avant-garde styling and renowned comfort thanks to its hydropneumatic suspension, but featured simplified mechanics and less luxurious fittings in order to keep the price down.

Fitted with a 1.9-litre engine derived from the Traction Avant, it quickly won over families and business users. Regularly improved throughout the 1960s, it became one of Citroën’s great successes before being replaced in the mid-1970s by the CX.

The example on offer has the advantage of a very attractive colour combination! It is in good overall condition: the paintwork is fine (apart from a slight colour variation on one door), the upholstery is of good quality, and the underbody is sound (please note there is a repair on the chassis; photo available on request).

Work has recently been carried out on the hydraulic system to ensure it is fully leak-proof. Otherwise, this ID 19 runs well, as it is used regularly.

Offered at a very attractive price for a car in such good condition, this ID is perfect for a young collector looking for a prestigious car!
