In France since 1993, with just over 150,000 km on the clock, and having undergone extensive recent work: undoubtedly one of the finest 560 SECs on the market!

In 1981, Mercedes-Benz replaced the SLC Coupé with the SEC Coupé, which shared many mechanical components with the new S-Class, as well as its platform, which offered advantages in terms of interior space, handling and the elegance of its bodywork.

A symbol of tradition, robustness and innovation, this new model restored the reputation of the Grand Tourer Coupé so dear to Mercedes. Unlike the SLC version and the competition of the time, it offered four proper seats.

Prioritising prestige and driving pleasure, Mercedes fitted it with various versions of its V8 engine (3.8 l, 4.2 l, 5.0 l, 5.6 l), as well as numerous innovations (electric seats with memory settings, seatbelts that automatically extend to assist the driver and front passenger) ...

The example featured here was sold new in Italy in January 1987, through the Mercedes dealership in Ancona on the Adriatic coast, fitted with air conditioning, a car radio, alloy wheels and an electric driver’s seat. It arrived in France in 1993, in Touraine. Its service book was last stamped at just over 100,000 km in 1996.

The odometer was replaced in 2011, at just over 140,000 km, and now reads just over 12,000 km. The current owner purchased it in 2020 and has since carried out extensive work: air conditioning compressor, fuel system, complete ignition system, new brakes, stainless steel exhaust system and suspension, whilst the upholstery and paintwork have been refurbished. The result: a 560 SEC in exceptional condition. Only the sunroof and the driver’s automatic seatbelt may need attention for the most discerning buyers.
