‘An original 8-seater estate car!’
The Ford estate car featured in these pages is a Country Squire, a model derived from the Crown Victoria, which was very popular in the USA. It is powered by a 460 ci engine producing 200 ch.
It was built in July 1976. This particular car was purchased in Mexico by the current collector and arrived in France in May 2018.
It was in good original condition and, since joining the collection, has been regularly serviced by garages specialising in classic cars.
In 2018, a floor panel was replaced, followed by a restoration of the brakes. More recently, the radiator and starter motor were replaced, and the side panels were fitted with a new vinyl sticker.
Our example is currently in its original condition; it runs very well but would benefit from some cosmetic attention.
