The elegance of Italian design combined with Ford’s mechanical reliability; only 2,200 were produced.

Designed by Sergio Sartorelli, this elegant coupé was produced in a limited series by OSI (Officine Stampaggi Industriali); it stands out for its sleek lines, comfortable interior and exclusive character. Only 2,200 units are believed to have been produced between 1967 and 1968; its sporty appearance and limited production run make it a rare and sought-after model today.

Marketed mainly in Germany, it was built on the mechanical platform of the Ford Taunus. It was thus fitted with a 2-litre and later a 2.3-litre V6 engine, renowned for its robustness. Although its design was universally acclaimed, its production run was cut short by the launch of the Ford Capri in 1968.

Acquired in 2018 by its current owner, our example, fitted with the 2.3-litre V6, has since undergone a mechanical overhaul and was repainted in 2021. It is now in good cosmetic condition and in good working order. There are, however, a few signs of corrosion in the boot.

The interior is fairly well preserved, featuring imitation leather upholstery combined with mottled grey carpets. The three-spoke steering wheel and wood trim are characteristic of Italian cars from the 1960s. Of note is the presence of a period car radio.

Successfully combining the refinement of Italian style with the reliability of tried-and-tested engineering, this OSI represents a rare opportunity to own a car that is as exclusive as it is endearing, with moderate running costs.
