« Karl Lagerfeld’s Mini! »

In the late 1960s, Austin unveiled the ‘practical’ version of its already legendary Mini Cooper. Dubbed the Clubman, this small estate car would also go on to become a legend in the automotive industry, even before it was taken off the production line in the 1980s.

In the mid-1990s, BMW acquired the Rover Group, which included the legendary Mini brand. The German giant managed fairly quickly to bring the British brand into the modern era, and, faced with its success, soon found itself on the lookout for new models to complete the range… Just as in the 1960s, Mini added the Clubman to its catalogue, reviving the classic design cues!

Our car is a special edition of the Clubman known as the ‘50 Hampton’: a unique paint finish, alloy wheels, leather upholstery with red piping, a sports steering wheel… Our particular model also has the considerable advantage of being a Cooper S, powered by a 184 hp four-cylinder engine.

This car was delivered new and registered in Monaco in the name of the world-famous fashion designer Karl Lagerfeld. Following his death, it was sold to a family acquaintance, who ensured the car was serviced regularly at Mini. The file contains a copy of the Monegasque registration document in Karl Lagerfeld’s name, as well as a few invoices from the fashion designer’s visits to Mini!

Here is the perfect way to combine practicality, driving pleasure and prestigious provenance, all at an attractive price!
