Black military-style stage jacket with a red armband featuring a “king” badge
A double-breasted black wool jacket in a uniform-style cut, featuring gold metal buttons and embroidered braiding at the cuffs, complemented by a small anchor motif on one of the cuffs. A wide red satin armband wraps around the left sleeve, echoing one of the most iconic visual elements of Michael Jackson’s outfits.
The jacket is accompanied by a letter of provenance, to be handed over to the buyer, signed by Mike W. Hirsh, a former tour manager who worked on several of the Jacksons’ tours between the early 1980s and the late 1990s, attesting that a military jacket featuring this red armband on one sleeve was worn by Michael Jackson and was given to him as a gift.
