Unique French acetate from Barclay Studios, from the Jimi Hendrix Experience era (1967)
A 3-track acetate, likely produced as a single copy by sound engineer Jean Hulot at Barclay Studios. Sent on 6 May 1967 by Catherine Régnier (promotions department) to the producer, for the television programme Music Hall de France (Théâtre d’Issy-les-Moulineaux, 11 May 1967), three months before the official French release of Are You Experienced. The rarity of the item is said to have been confirmed by Bernard de Bosson, Barclay’s international marketing director.
Tracks: Highway Chile – Foxy Lady – Fire. A curious detail: the B-side features a children’s choir, with no connection whatsoever to Jimi Hendrix.
