Jamie Reid, Never Mind the Bollocks, Here's the Sex Pistols, original poster, 1977
Original promotional poster published by Virgin Records in 1977 to mark the release of the album *Never Mind the Bollocks, Here’s the Sex Pistols*, regarded as one of the most influential punk albums and released on 28 October 1977. Designed by British artist Jamie Reid in collaboration with John Varnom, this poster features the covers of the band’s various singles, including the famous ‘God Save the Queen’ artwork. Assembled as a collage against a dark background, it features Reid’s characteristic ‘cut and paste’ typography. The whole piece constitutes a sort of visual retrospective of Reid’s graphic work for the Sex Pistols, a synthesis of his radical punk aesthetic and his critique of mainstream culture.
Dimensions: 100.5 × 65.5 cm. The poster is in excellent condition, with a slight crease in the bottom left-hand corner.
