A very rare test pressing of The Jimi Hendrix Experience’s second EP (Barclay, 1967), featuring ‘The Wind Cries Mary’, ‘Fire’, ‘Purple Haze’ and ‘Highway Child’.
The record comes from a former colleague of Michel Magne, who was involved in organising film music recordings and played a part in the creation and launch of the Château d'Hérouville studio between 1967 and 1968. According to this account, this test pressing was given to him directly by Michel Magne in this professional context.
Enclosed is a copy of a letter in English from Barclay, written by Bernard de Bosson, international label manager, confirming the existence of the test press
