“Vie privée” is a film largely inspired by the life of Brigitte Bardot, who plays Jill, a dancer turned star, hounded by the paparazzi and gradually stripped of her privacy – a direct reflection of the media torment she was enduring in real life at the time. This acetate, recorded as part of Club Publicis, a magazine programme on the “performing arts”, is an exceptional record: we hear Brigitte Bardot reflecting on the film and her relationship with fame, as well as members of the technical crew discussing the production. An internal and ephemeral medium by nature, this type of recording was not intended for commercial release, which further enhances its rarity.
Condition: Strong VG (normal wear for an acetate, possible micro-scratches and background noise, without affecting continuous playback).
