NOTE
The Dông Son culture, named after the locality on the banks of the Red River where its first traces were discovered, developed highly sophisticated metallurgical techniques as early as 600 B.C., expressed in a variety of ritual objects (situlae, weapons, ornaments, etc.), of which rain drums are the most striking and emblematic.
