The archetypal British roadster, the Triumph TR3 was an incredible success both in the UK and the USA| with its distinctive lines, round mouth, notched doors and powerful, torquey 4-cylinder engine, it still appeals to many enthusiasts today thanks to its inimitable looks and respectable performance.
This car, which came from an estate, has not been used for around 8 years. The 4-cylinder engine is not blocked and will have to be restarted with all the usual precautions. We like the patina of the whole, and the superb Powder Blue/black interior combination.
The chrome is a little pitted, but the car is also fitted with steel wheels, with their pretty hubcaps with enamelled centres (the two on the right are missing), which are rarely seen on this model, which is mainly fitted with spoked wheels.
The car comes with its own soft top, two tonneau covers (one beige and one black), side-screens and a veronique. It is also fitted with an overdrive, a real pleasure to drive in today's traffic.
With its attractive valuation, it is aimed at a young enthusiast who will be able, after a little work that seems easily achievable and inexpensive, to enjoy this emblematic roadster, typical of the 1950s/1960s, with its inimitable charm and remarkable performance.
