Austin-Healey 3000 Mk 3 BJ8 – 1965
French historic registration title
The Austin Healey 3000 is an emblematic model from the British firm, representing the apogee of the “Big Healeys’ series| the BT7 versions are distinguished by the presence of 4-seater seats and an engine developing 125 hp. Numerous racing and rallying successes have made the Healey a motoring legend in the hearts of today's enthusiasts.
The Austin Healey presented here was first put on the road in 1965 in the USA. It was imported to France in the 1990s, after having spent many years in California, in a climate that, as we know, is healthy for cars.
It was then completely restored by a workshop in the Paris region, stripped bare, the upholstery carefully redone and the mechanics opened up to be brought up to scratch.
Sporting its new metallic blue colour with cream-coloured sides, it was subsequently sold to its current owner in 2008, who has continued to use his beautiful 3000 for rallies with friends and on numerous outings, always scrupulously maintaining and improving it.
Our test drive confirmed that the car was in very good mechanical condition and was made to be driven over all distances, with a beautiful patina worthy of a car carefully restored over 20 years ago.
