Jaguar Type E V12 Cabriolet – 1973

Monaco registration title

The latest iteration of the legendary E-Type was powered by an upgraded 5.3 litre aluminium V12 engine developing 272 bhp. The lines were also revised to lengthen the car and meet the demands of such a powerful engine.
Our example, like most of the production run, was delivered new to the United States before being imported to France for a complete restoration. Although there are no documents describing the restoration, it is impossible to doubt the overall quality of the car, which is in such good condition today!
It was certainly the previous owner, a Monegasque billionaire, who commissioned this unique restoration. Today, the car is still in ‘out of restoration’ condition, and in addition received some work a few months ago, with the replacement of the clutch transmitter/receiver and a general overhaul on the agenda.
During our test drive, we were pleasantly surprised by the car's overall smooth running, despite being out of action for several months. Once warmed up, the engine revs well: a tune-up was recently carried out by the current owner's mechanics. A power steering system has also been added, making the beast much easier to handle...
This V12 E-Type with manual gearbox is the perfect cabriolet for covering the miles this summer. With such an attractive price tag, it would be a shame not to give it a go!
