LOUIS MAJORELLE (1859-1926)
Exceptional 'Nénuphars' lady's desk, model created in 1900.
In molded and carved mahogany and courbaril veneer, leather-covered top, extensive ormolu ornamentation decorated with leaves, water lilies and flower buds applied to the legs and forming drawer handles.

(Original key, restoration on one edge, some cracks to the veneer, wear to the leather)
A 'Nénuphars' desk, model designed in 1900, molded mahogany and courbaril veneer, leather-covered top, gilt bronze ornamentation.


IMPORTANT A similar desk is in the collections of the Royal Museums of Fine Arts of Belgium (Inv. GC 139).


PROVENANCE Former collection of Dr. César Tournier, head of the medical clinic at the University of Lyon.
Passed down to the present owners.
